Cambugahay Falls is a three-tiered waterfall near Lazi, one of the best-known swimming spots on Siquijor. Each level drops into a natural pool of clear, turquoise water set against jungle foliage, and the water flows on toward Lazi Bay.
The site is reached from Lazi by a sealed road about 2 km to the north, then a steep stairway down to the pools. The lowest pool is the largest and has a rope swing and bamboo rafts. Travel guides suggest going in the morning for a quieter visit. Confirm opening hours and any charges locally.
Good to know: The way down is a steep stairway of roughly 100 to 135 steps each way, which one guide says can be slippery in the rain. Day tours stop here, so go early. Guides advise water shoes (the rocks are sharp and slippery) and a dry bag for phone and cash, and Lonely Planet warns against leaving valuables unattended. Check the water depth and landing area with the attendants before using the rope swing, and take extra care after heavy rain. Entrance and activity charges are not listed here; bring small peso bills and confirm on arrival.
